Manila, Sept. 10 -- To protect voters, election workers, polling sites and other vital election facilities, a total 9,821 policemen have been deployed to augment security and election operations for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections scheduled on Sept. 14, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.

In a statement, PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the deployment places police personnel in strategic locations throughout the region, with the largest contingent assigned to 4,313 voting centers.

Security coverage will also extend to 208 Commission on Elections (Comelec) offices, 218 treasurers' offices and 856 checkpoints, while 2,120 Quick Reaction Forces (QRFs) rema...
