Manila, July 14 -- The 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park (IBP) in Mandurriao district has been named the center for arts and culture here.
In a media interview on Monday, Mayor Raisa Trenas said the IBP's new status was officially declared under Executive Order No. 21 that she signed on July 9.
"The IBP has been constantly providing a venue for various art activities, including the Arts Festival, which, for the first time, gathered more than eight art groups to include visual arts, cinema, dance, and music, among others," she said.
IBP, a mixed-use development project of Megaworld Corp., houses the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA), the Brandy Museum, and the iconic Iloilo Convention Center (ICON), among others.
