Manila, Feb. 13 -- Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano on Friday proposed that government aid be processed through a unified online platform to curb red tape and political interference.
Cayetano proposed amendments designating the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) as the lead agency in deploying the eGov Super App or similar digital systems for aid access.
Under his Senate Bill 155, beneficiaries would file requests for assistance through an online or mobile application, aligning the measure with the E-Governance Law (Republic Act 12254), which he principally sponsored.
