Manila, April 27 -- The provincial government of Capiz, under Governor Fredenil Castro, is hopeful for the completion of the Panay River Basin Integrated Development Project, eyed to address the flooding problem in the province.
In his message during the mass oath-taking ceremony of promoted teachers and school heads from Western Visayas in Capiz on Monday, Castro said he has faith in the statement of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. that he will finish the uncompleted project of his late father.
The Panay River Basin was conceptualized during the time of the late Ferdinand E. Marcos, but was overtaken by events, Castro noted.
