Manila, March 5 -- The Bureau of Customs - Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) recently seized three abandoned inbound parcels containing suspected illegal drugs worth PHP29.71 million in Pasay.

In a statement Thursday, the agency said the illegal drugs were discovered during an interdiction operation on Monday.

The parcels contained 3,596 grams of white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP24.45 million.

Authorities also seized about 4,046 grams of white powder suspected to be MDMA or ecstasy, valued at about PHP5.26 million.
