Manila, Sept. 23 -- The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday invited stakeholders to participate in the beta testing of its upgraded Online Tax Estimator as part of its continuing drive for modernization and improved public service.

In a statement, Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said the enhanced tool will provide a more comprehensive and user-friendly breakdown of duties, taxes and other lawful charges.

"With this initiative, the Bureau of Customs is not only offering a more accessible and user-friendly tool, but also demonstrating our determination to improve systems that directly serve the needs of the public," he said.

The system was developed with the assistance of the Management Information System and Technology Group.
