Manila, Oct. 7 -- To curb the spread of animal diseases, such as African swine fever (ASF), in the country, Abra lone district Rep. Joseph Sto. Nino Bernos and Solid North Party-list Rep. Ching Bernos have filed a bill that seeks to provide pet owners and farmers with sufficient access to essential animal healthcare.

Filed on Oct. 1 at the House of Representatives, Bill 5059, or the Animal Medical Center bill, requires the establishment of veterinary clinics in every local government unit in the country.
