Manila, Nov. 6 -- The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Friday deported over 100 Chinese nationals arrested in separate major raids on scam hubs in Zamboanga Sibugay and Quezon City in October.

In a news release, the BI reported that the deportees boarded a chartered China Southern Airlines flight CZ5308 bound for China at 10 a.m. from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City.

The deportees, consisting of 62 individuals arrested in Zamboanga Sibugay and 53 in Cubao, were flown to China following the issuance of Summary Deportation Orders by the BI Board of Commissioners.

The arrest in Mindanao was conducted on Oct. 2 while the operation in Metro Manila happened on Oct. 12.
