Manila, Sept. 2 -- The local government of La Trinidad in Benguet has relaunched a program that seeks to strengthen police-community partnership for faster resolution of conflicts without the need to resort to social media.

"Most complaints and concerns are aired via Facebook posts, which is not the appropriate platform, as we are not able to act on them immediately," Mayor Roderick Awingan said in a phone interview on Tuesday.

"Thus, by relaunching this program, people would learn to directly reach out to authorities and be vigilant of their communities."
