COTABATO CITY, June 2 -- In preparation for the upcoming regular parliament in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), current members of the region's interim parliament began drafting a 10-year strategic framework to guide the institution beyond the transition period and support the first elected members of the BARMM lawmaking body.

In a statement on Tuesday, Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Speaker Mohammad Yacob said that the ongoing three-day Parliament Strategic Planning Framework Workshop, conducted with the Development Academy of the Philippines, brings lawmakers together "to identify long-term priorities for the parliament's legislative, oversight and representation functions."
