BAGUIO CITY, Aug. 17 -- Lone District Rep. Mauricio Domogan is pushing for the passage of a law to make pre-audit and geo-tagging mandatory requirements before the government pays for infrastructure projects.

Domogan said pre-audit would serve as a standard process and quality check, while geo-tagging would establish the exact location of government-funded infrastructure projects.

"This was a practice in the past but was removed during the administration of President Noynoy (Benigno Aquino III)," he said during a press conference on Saturday.

He said the Commission on Audit (COA) has approved the proposal in principle but a law is needed to ensure that pre-audit and geo-tagging become mandatory processes.
