Manila, Jan. 5 -- The Baguio City Health Services Office reported a continued decline in firecracker-related injuries, with only four cases recorded as of Monday.

City Health Officer Dr. Celia Flor Brillantes said the number fell from 12 cases in 2024 to eight in 2025.

The four cases included two children injured Dec. 21 and two passive victims watching neighbors' fireworks early into the new year.

"Magandang indicator ito na talagang umiiwas na sa paputok at alam na ng mga tao ang epekto ng paputok.
