Manila, Feb. 18 -- The local police called on motorists anew to comply with traffic rules and regulations.
"Sumunod lang po tayo sa mga ordinansa na naitalaga sa paggamit natin ng ating mga kakalsadahan para sa safety natin at para na din sa safety ng mga kababayan natin (Let us follow the ordinances being imposed in the utilization of our roads for our safety and that of the public," Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) director Col. Ruel Tagel said in a message Wednesday.
Data obtained from the BCPO showed a total of 5,570 motorists were apprehended for violating Ordinance 7-2010 or the "King of the Road Ordinance" requiring drivers to slow down and stop before a pedestrian lane.
