BACOLOD, Feb. 17 -- Tourist arrivals in this highly urbanized city grew by 4.8 percent in 2025, generating PHP6.55 billion in tourism receipts, data from the City Tourism Development Office showed Tuesday.
The city hosted 873,573 local and foreign visitors last year, up from 833,345 in 2024. Domestic tourists increased by 5.11 percent to 813,625, while foreign arrivals rose by 2.21 percent to 60,525.
Attendees of meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions soared by 77 percent to 279,200. Peak arrivals were recorded in October, November, and December, driven largely by the annual MassKara Festival held every October.
