Manila, April 15 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignation of National Security Adviser Eduardo Ano, who is set to retire from public service after decades in government and the military, Malacanang announced on Wednesday.

In a statement, the Palace expressed gratitude for Ano's contributions, citing his role in strengthening the country's national security framework, advancing counterterrorism and internal security efforts, and ensuring coordination across the security sector amid evolving regional and global challenges.
