Manila, Aug. 7 -- Filipino tennis player Francis Casey Alcantara continues his preparation for this year's Southeast Asian Games, joining as many tournaments as possible to stay in top form.

Teaming up with Indonesian Christopher Rungkat, the third seeds downed Indians Kabir Hans and Maan Kesharwani, 7-6 (2), 6-4, to reach the quarterfinals of the Amman Mineral Men's World Tennis Championships in Bali, Indonesia.

"First rounds are always tough, I'm so happy we got to win this tough first round," said the Cagayan de Oro City-born Alcantara in an interview Thursday.
