LEGAZPI CITY, Aug. 3 -- Albay Governor Noel Rosal has ordered closer monitoring of government hospitals and a comprehensive audit of medicine inventories and medical supplies to improve healthcare services and ensure patients receive the benefits they are entitled to.

In a media briefing after Monday's flag-raising ceremony, Rosal said he posts hospital visits on his account to gather public feedback that serves as the basis for his assessment.

"We visit hospitals so we can get reactions from people and have a basis for our assessment," Rosal said

The governor reiterated the implementation of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation's no excess billing and zero billing policies in provincial hospitals.
