Manila, March 12 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday assured an airtight case against the two suspects behind the fatal shooting of a cop in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Police M/Sgt. Jose Uring, 50, a member of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, was fatally shot in Barangay Panginay on Sunday during a meeting of the Brooklyn Heights Homeowners Association, where he was president.

A 54-year-old civilian was also injured in the attack.

Authorities on Monday arrested two suspects - a dismissed police officer formerly assigned with the Obando Police Station and his cohort - during a coordinated hot pursuit operation in Bulakan and Obando towns.
