Manila, Sept. 18 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) 13 (Caraga), through the Bureau of Animal Industry, distributed 50 heads of cattle to the same number of farmers in Sibagat, Agusan del Sur on Wednesday as part of a regional initiative to promote organic livestock farming.
The beneficiaries, residents of six barangays including Culambugan, New Tubigon, Anahawan, Afga, Poblacion, and Ilihan, were chosen based on their ability to raise cattle in pasture areas that are free from chemical contamination.
