Manila, Aug. 1 -- The estimated amount of damage to agriculture and infrastructure caused by tropical cyclones Crising (international name Wipha), Dante (Francisco), and Emong (Co-May), and the enhanced southwest monsoon has reached PHP12.84 billion, based on the official government tally.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council's (NDRRMC) latest situation report, released on Friday, put the damage to agriculture at PHP2.25 billion, and to infrastructure, at PHP10.59 billion.
The NDRRMC also said 77,798 farmers and fisherfolk have been affected by the weather disturbances.
Meanwhile, the total number of houses damaged now stands at 48,843, and those destroyed, at 6,707.
