Manila, Feb. 26 -- A ranking naval official said the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is using all means possible to monitor Scarborough Shoal (also known as Bajo de Masinloc) in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) to ensure that no illegal or reclamation activities are taking place in the vital waterway.
"Yung (the) AFP, we use all sources of information. All sensors available to us. Sea-based, land-based, air-based, and even space-based. We have regular patrols by sea and by air," Philippine Navy (PN) spokesperson for the WPS Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad said during an interview with reporters late Wednesday.
