Manila, Sept. 8 -- A total of 906 families, or 2,885 individuals, in Pangasinan province remained in evacuation centers as of Tuesday due to flooding brought by weather disturbances.

In a phone interview on Tuesday, Pia Flores, head of the Emergency Operations Center Unit of Pangasinan's Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, said the evacuees are residents of Calasiao, Mangatarem, Lingayen, and Dagupan City.

She said reports indicate 137 barangays across Calasiao, Mangatarem, Lingayen, Bugallon, Binmaley, Urbiztondo, San Carlos City, Sta. Barbara, Bautista, and Dagupan City are still flooded.

Nonetheless, water levels in the province's river systems are receding, she said.
