Manila, Sept. 30 -- Eight bidders have participated in the bidding for the Contract Package 1 (CP1) of the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge (BCIB) Project, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced Tuesday.

In a statement, the department said it officially opened the price bid on Sept. 30, which was live-streamed on social media in compliance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to ensure transparency, public access, and accountability in the bidding process of DPWH projects.

Secretary Vince Dizon said the bidders for CP1 are:
