Manila, Aug. 18 -- The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) on Monday announced the arrest of seven individuals, including five foreigners, for alleged involvement in the operation of an illegal gambling hub in Makati City.
In a press briefing at Camp Crame in Quezon City, CIDG chief Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano said three male Taiwanese, one male Myanmar national, one female Chinese and two Filipino women were arrested during an operation on Aug. 15.
He said the seven were involved in illegal internet gaming operation that offers online gambling services outside the Philippines.
