Manila, Sept. 25 -- Three Filipino seafarers bagged a combined PHP1 million in cash prizes for their innovative business proposals in the Department of Migrant Workers' (DMW) LIKHAng (Linangin ang Kakayahan sa Kabuhayan) Marino Business Plan Competition 2026.

The DMW, in a news release on Friday, said that 16 finalists who were declared champions from their regions vied for the top prize.

The winners were announced on Thursday evening at the Susan Ople Building in Makati City.

Nathaniel Lutang Baugbo Jr., 28, from the Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte, won the competition for his "Nalfre Perfume and Perfume Bar" business plan and received PHP500,000 for his business proposal inspired by his roots in Samal.
