ILOILO CITY, Oct. 13 -- The provincial government honored three Ilonggo high-ranking officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for their outstanding contributions to peace and development during the special flag-raising ceremony on Monday.

Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, 67th Commanding General of the Philippine Army; Lt. Gen. Luis Rex Bergante, 14th Commander of the AFP Eastern Mindanao Command; and Lt. Gen. Jimmy Larida, 51st Vice Chief of Staff of the AFP, each received a plaque of recognition and a copy of the Resolution of Commendation passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (Provincial Board) in honor of their unwavering dedication to national service.
