Manila, Sept. 27 -- Sixteen national road sections in six regions that remain closed due to the effects of Typhoon Opong (international name Bualoi) and other previous weather disturbances were being addressed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

As of noontime Saturday, the DPWH reported that Quick Response Teams in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol, Western Visayas and Eastern Visayas were mobilized to conduct clearing and restoration operations on affected roads.
