Baguio City, July 31 -- As the southwest monsoon continues to batter the Cordillera region, the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-CAR) has mobilized more than 1,800 personnel for disaster response and humanitarian aid.

PRO-CAR Director Brig. Gen. Ericson Dilag said Thursday that 1,116 police officers have been assigned as part of the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF), while 730 comprise the Quick Reaction Teams (QRT).

Other personnel have been deployed to assist in search, rescue, and retrieval missions, provide security at evacuation centers, protect vital infrastructure, and monitor roads across the region.
