Manila, Sept. 11 -- The southwest monsoon (habagat) will bring occasional to scattered rains over parts of Luzon and the Visayas on Friday, the weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Zambales and Bataan will experience occasional rains.

Moderate to heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides in these areas.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas and Northern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.

Flash floods or landslides may also occur because of moderate to at times heavy rains.
