'Habagat', LPA to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas
Manila, Aug. 30 -- Rains will continue to affect parts of Luzon and Visayas due to the southwest monsoon or "habagat", the weather bureau said Sunday.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said a low pressure area (LPA) was also spotted at 1,340 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon as of 3 a.m.
Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, and Pampanga will experience monsoon rains. Residents in these areas are warned of flash floods or landslides that may occur during heavy to intense rains.
