LAOAG CITY, Oct. 15 -- The municipality of Currimao in Ilocos Norte is set to light up over 200 lamp posts, each looking like a miniature lighthouse, along a 2.8-kilometer seawall boulevard and fisherman's wharf on Oct. 17 to usher in the Christmas season.
The array of lamp posts, called "Currilights," has become a key tourism infrastructure development in Currimao covering the villages of Pangil, Poblacion 1 and 2, Lioes, Torre, and Salugan.
Mayor Edward Quilala announced the lighting of the "Currilights" on Facebook on Wednesday.
