Farhan Akhtar on Bollywood's alpha-hero phase: 'I think it is peaking now'
Mumbai, Aug. 18 -- Farhan Akhtar believes Bollywood's current fascination with larger-than-life alpha heroes may be nearing its peak, predicting that the industry will eventually move towards a new kind of storytelling. Speaking to The Indian Express as Dil Chahta Hai completes 25 years, Akhtar reflected on whether the pursuit of newness that defined his 2001 directorial debut has waned over the years. He believes the appetite for fresh storytelling remains, even as audience preferences continue to shift.
