Storyline

Set in Manipur, Boong is the story of a young boy's innocent yet emotional journey. Boong's father, L. Joykumar (Hamom Sadananda), went to the Myanmar border in search of work and hasn't returned home for a long time. Along with his "North Indian" friend Raju (Angom Sanamatum), Boong sets out to find him and make his mother, Mandakini (Bala Hijam Ningthoujam), happy. The realities, relationships, and situations he encounters during this journey form the core of the film.
