India, July 3 -- Sony has been facing huge backlash from fans for halting production of physical discs of games from January 2028 onwards. Also, PlayStation is currently facing multiple lawsuits alleging the PlayStation Store operates as an illegal monopoly, and now this new strategy of producing only physical discs of the game proves the same. GTA 6 pre orders went live on June 25, and despite Take Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick's confirmation, the game was available only in digital format for purchase. In fact, the fans could only purchase the box for the game, and the box had a code for digital download of the game. So, this supresses the enthusiasm of the fans for owning a Collector's Edition of GTA 6.
