India, Aug. 4 -- WhatsApp is testing a small but meaningful change for Mac users, giving them more control over how often the beta app updates. Instead of sticking to a single release schedule, testers can now pick between faster daily builds, a more stable weekly track, or manual update checks.

The option appears in WhatsApp beta for Mac version 26.30.10.20, according to WABetaInfo. It is rolling out gradually, so not everyone on the latest beta will see it right away. WhatsApp has not said when or if this setting will reach all Mac users.
