India, Sept. 22 -- India's BGMI esports grind just got a lot more crowded. Forty eight of the country's top-performing squads are dropping into the same invite-only fight, with Rs 1 crore on the line and six international qualification spots waiting for the teams that survive the run.

There is little room for an off week. The second edition of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SHOWDOWN runs for nearly a month, moving through Promotion and Relegation rounds, survival brackets, semifinals, and a Last Chance stage before the remaining squads reach the Hyderabad LAN Grand Finals from October 16-18.
