The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is wider, but Fold 7 owners may not need it
India, July 23 -- Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July 2025 and followed it with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in July 2026. The biggest change this year is the wider cover screen, which makes the Fold 8 feel more like a regular smartphone when closed. Typing, browsing, and using apps are easier and more comfortable than before. While this improvement is welcome, many users are wondering whether it is enough to justify an expensive upgrade.
