India, July 6 -- Sony has been continuously facing a huge backlash from the fans for its announcement on going all-digital from January 2028 onwards. In a recent development, Sony announced it will stop releasing new PlayStation games on physical discs in 2028. Fans launched the "Don't Kill the Disc" petition, which exceeded 111,000 signatures in four days., but Sony still remains silent over the entire episode. Sony's decision on ending production of gaming discs has been taken by the fans as an action that forces them to give away ownership of the games they have purchased.
