India, June 5 -- Netflix wants the World Cup to feel less like something you only watch and more like something you can play from the couch. Its new FIFA World Cup Launch Edition game arrives on June 11, timed with the start of the FIFA Men's World Cup, and it brings a simple idea to the screen: use your TV for the match and your phone as the controller.

The game is being developed by Delphi Interactive, known for 007 First Light, with Netflix Games and FIFA. Netflix describes it as a streamlined football simulation built for fast play, especially for people who may not usually pick up a sports game.
