India, June 4 -- Motorola has a recipe. A Moto G series phone with a large battery, a clean Android experience and a price tag below Rs 20,000. Watch it sell. Repeat next year. The Moto G37 Power follows the same formula, only this time Motorola quietly removed some features, labelled it an upgrade, and hoped nobody would notice.

Begin at the display. Last year's predecessor, the Moto G35 5G, came with a Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400. The Moto G37 Power specs include an HD+ display at 720 x 1604 pixels, a step back from the Full HD+ panel on the Moto G35 5G. This is not a minor change. Even phones around Rs 12,000 now offer sharper displays.
