India, July 31 -- Google has reported a sharp rise in security flaws found and fixed in Chrome after introducing Gemini powered agents across its development workflow. Chrome milestones 149 and 150 together included fixes for 1072 security bugs. That number is higher than what was addressed in the previous 23 milestones combined. One automated investigation also surfaced a sandbox escape that had quietly existed in the codebase for more than 13 years.

These figures look dramatic, but raw bug counts do not fully represent browser security. They do not reveal severity distribution, regression risk, or duplicate reporting. What they do show is a major increase in security throughput and automation depth.
