India, July 10 -- GTA 6 pre orders were highly successful despite a digital-only launch. Gamers were disappointed to get a digital code in a GTA 6 box instead of a physical copy of the game, but Rockstar Games left them without a choice. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not released any official data on the number of copies sold for GTA 6, since its pre orders went live, but industry analysts estimate that GTA 6 has amassed between 39 million and 50 million total pre-orders. Reports from analysts also reveals that PlayStation 5 pre-orders outpaced Xbox at a ratio ranging between 6:1 and 8:1, and PlayStation alone accounts for roughly 30 million to 35 million of those pre-purchased copies.
