India, Aug. 18 -- The inaugural Esports Nations Cup was supposed to bring national teams from across the globe to Riyadh this November. That plan is now on hold, with the Esports Foundation moving the tournament to November 2027.

The decision comes after an assessment of the wider regional situation and discussions with key stakeholders. For an event involving teams and partners from more than 100 countries and territories, EF said the extra year will provide the stability and certainty needed to get the competition off the ground under the right conditions.
