India, Aug. 5 -- PlayStation releases in July were mainly dominated by pirate and shooter games, as games like Call of Duty Black Ops and Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced performed well on the platform. Call of Duty Black Ops 1 and 2, were released on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 9, 2026. The two games were handled as native ports by Iron Galaxy Studios rather than full remasters, and there was not enough buzz around their release. But unexpectedly for the Call of Duty fans the games turned out to be a huge deal, as Call of Duty Black Ops 2 sold 11 million copies, while the original game from the series, Call of Duty Black Ops sold 3.84 million copies.
