Punjab, Oct. 9 -- Elon Musk has accused "certain oligarchs" of blocking Starlink in India to protect a "monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people", called the delay "a crime against the people of India", and - within hours of the government rejecting all of it - asked whether Mukesh Ambani is "the real boss of India".

The Ministry of Communications called the claim baseless. Its position is that the satellite communications framework is "fair and non-discriminatory", and that Starlink and the two other licensed satcom operators in India are at "broadly the same regulatory stage". All three are undergoing security assessments, and none can apply for spectrum until those are complete.
