Punjab, Oct. 13 -- Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI opened in Delhi on Tuesday, and day one belonged entirely to the R|Elan Circular Design Challenge - whose finale was held at the Embassy of France rather than at a runway venue. Runway shows begin Wednesday at the Taj Palace and run to 18 October.
Why the Embassy of France
This is the eighth edition of the Challenge, and it is being staged as a global edition under the India-France Year of Innovation 2026, in partnership with the United Nations in India. That is the reason for the venue, and it is a meaningful change in the prize's standing.
