Punjab, Sept. 23 -- India rejected references to Jammu and Kashmir in the joint communique of the OIC Contact Group, saying the organisation has no locus standi on matters internal to India and advising it to counsel Pakistan instead.

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar addressed a ministerial meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir, held on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly session in New York.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal called the references unwarranted and factually incorrect, said Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral and inalienable part of India, and added that no amount of repetition of politically motivated propaganda changes that.
