Punjab, Sept. 23 -- India's men's badminton team took bronze after losing 3-1 to China in the semi-final. It is the first time in 40 years that the Indian men have won team medals at back-to-back Asian Games.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty beat world champions Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang 21-11, 22-20 in the men's doubles.
A 21-11 first game against the reigning world champions is not a close win that went India's way. It is a pair playing at a level nobody in the world is comfortable against, and the 22-20 second game is what it looks like when the champions find their footing and still lose.
