Punjab, Sept. 21 -- Himanshu Dhillon took silver and Rudrankksh Patil bronze in the men's 10m air rifle at Aichi-Nagoya - the first time two Indians have finished on the same podium at these Games. They were separated by 0.1 of a point.

Himanshu shot 252.4. Rudrankksh finished on 230.9 after being edged by a tenth at the decisive stage. China's Sheng Lihao won gold with 254.2 - a Games and Asian record.
A tenth of a point in air rifle is smaller than it sounds and larger than it looks. At this level it is the difference between a shot that lands in the middle of the ten ring and one that lands near its edge, on a target 10 metres away at 4.5mm diameter.
