The weekend, and the drop after it

Day 44, the seventh Saturday, took Rs 9.75 crore. Day 45 added Rs 13.75 crore. Day 46 is running at about Rs 2.45 crore on early tracking, across 7,898 shows in 748 cities at roughly 11.8% occupancy.

A weekend-to-Monday fall of that size is ordinary and says nothing. The number that is not ordinary is a film taking Rs 13.75 crore on its seventh Sunday, seven weeks after release.
